The Climate Conflict Action Asia–Early Response Network (CCAA-ERN) has documented multiple reports of election-related disturbances during the initial parliamentary voting process in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). The monitoring organization highlighted allegations of vote-buying and various shooting incidents across several municipalities, including Cotabato City, Shariff Saydona Mustapha, Shariff Aguak, Rajah Buayan, and Masiu. Specifically, a pre-election shooting in Cotabato City's Bagua 2 village reportedly involved factions associated with the Bangsamoro Federalist Party and the United Bangsamoro Justice Party. However, the monitoring group emphasized that these reports of violence and political involvement remain unverified claims. Official confirmation from law enforcement and relevant authorities regarding the nature and perpetrators of these incidents is still pending as the electoral process continues.
