The sudden shutdown of the Hotstone Yoga chain in Hong Kong has resulted in significant financial repercussions for its clientele. According to the Customs and Excise Department, officials have processed 694 formal reports from individuals affected by the business's closure. These complaints involve prepaid service contracts valued at approximately HK$7.8 million. Furthermore, the Consumer Council reported receiving 416 separate grievances by Sunday evening, with total claimed losses reaching HK$5.42 million. Authorities are currently managing the influx of reports as customers seek recourse for the services they can no longer access following the company's unexpected cessation of operations.
