The Nepalese Cabinet recently approved the transfer of land belonging to Purnamrit Bhawani Secondary School in Waling, Syangja, to the Armed Police Force (APF). This decision, finalized on October 5, involves a plot spanning over 29 ropanis currently utilized by the APF Nepal Gulma No. 30 headquarters. The school administration has formally protested the move, asserting that the government proceeded with the land acquisition process without obtaining their prior consent. The APF unit has been operating on this school-owned property since its establishment in 2060 BS to oversee regional security. Following the Cabinet's directive to formalize the land transfer, school officials submitted a formal letter of objection to the Chief District Officer, Nirajan Ghimire, highlighting the lack of consultation regarding the property rights of the educational institution.
