The Embassy of Guyana in Qatar hosted an official event at the LuLu Abu Sidra Mall in Doha to commemorate the nation's 60th anniversary of independence. President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali led the proceedings, delivering a keynote speech that highlighted the country's international progress and future prospects. The gathering was attended by various dignitaries, including Sheikh Jasim bin Mohamed bin Hamad al-Thani, government officials from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, members of the diplomatic community, and local business leaders. Ambassador Safraaz Shadood opened the event, which served as a platform to honor Guyana's historical milestone and its strengthening ties within the global community. The celebration brought together the Guyanese diaspora and international partners to reflect on six decades of sovereignty.
