Gholamhossein Darzi, the Iranian Chargé d’Affaires to the United Nations, has called for the Security Council to strictly adhere to the UN Charter and established international legal frameworks. During his remarks in New York, the diplomat cautioned against the politicization of the body's internal processes. He specifically accused the United States and its international partners of frequently misusing the powers and protocols of the Security Council to further narrow political objectives. Iran maintains that such actions undermine the integrity of the institution and deviate from its intended purpose of maintaining global order.
