Kishor Shrestha, the editor-in-chief of the weekly publication Jana Astha, was escorted by police to the Cyber Bureau in Kathmandu on Friday morning. Law enforcement officials arrived at his residence in Nakkhu, Lalitpur, to bring him in for questioning regarding a formal complaint lodged against him. The legal action follows a report filed on Thursday by Himesh Pant, a central committee member of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, concerning a specific news article. In response, Shrestha has also submitted a counter-complaint against Pant. Authorities at the Cyber Bureau have confirmed that they are currently arranging discussions involving both individuals to address the conflicting grievances filed by the parties involved.
