Her management team reported that she was allegedly drugged while working at a nightclub. According to social media updates from her representative, medical examinations identified four distinct substances in her system. The incident reportedly occurred after Hamasaki concluded a performance at a restaurant. An individual had pressured her to perform at a private location in Tsim Sha Tsui, a request she initially refused. Her manager expressed regret over the situation, noting that the artist remains under close medical observation. The circumstances surrounding how the substances were administered are currently being addressed by her team, who have publicly acknowledged the severity of her condition following the encounter.
