Jonathan Goh has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first Singaporean to earn an honours degree in Circus Arts. The 30-year-old performer completed a rigorous three-year curriculum at the National Centre for Circus Arts in London, graduating in July 2025. Despite facing initial skepticism and the personal pressure of being a pioneer in a field largely unrecognized within his home country, Goh remained dedicated to his academic performance. His interest in the discipline dates back to his childhood, starting when he was 11 years old. Now, as a qualified professional, he continues to showcase his skills as a busker, balancing the physical demands of his craft with the professional expectations that come with his unique academic achievement.
