Representatives from the United States Federal Aviation Administration recently finished a formal International Aviation Safety Assessment of the aviation oversight framework in Kazakhstan. The review, which took place between September 21 and 25, evaluated how well the nation's regulatory systems align with the standards and practices established by the International Civil Aviation Organization. The process included discussions with Talgat Lastayev, the Vice Minister of Transport, to examine the country's safety protocols. This assessment serves as a critical step in determining the feasibility of establishing direct air travel routes between Kazakhstan and the United States. The Civil Aviation Committee confirmed the completion of the visit, which focused on ensuring that Kazakhstan's aviation infrastructure meets the necessary international safety benchmarks required for such operations.
