Erlan Sairov, a deputy of the Kurultai, has formally suggested that schools in Kazakhstan should implement a consistent program focused on teaching students proper greeting etiquette. The proposal, submitted to the Ministers of Culture and Information and Education, aims to transform respectful communication into a long-term habit rather than a sporadic lesson. Sairov emphasized that this initiative aligns with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s broader goal of preserving national heritage and traditional values. According to the deputy, cultural identity is demonstrated through daily interactions and personal manners rather than solely through artistic venues like museums or theaters. By embedding these social norms into the educational environment, the deputy hopes to foster a more respectful culture among the younger generation, reflecting the core values of the nation in everyday behavior.
