Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov has directed the Ministry of National Economy and the Ministry of Finance to formulate strategies for taxing high-net-worth individuals. During a recent cabinet session, the Prime Minister mandated that these departments analyze global taxation models and present their findings within thirty days. In addition to this initiative, the Ministry of National Economy is tasked with refining amendments for the updated Tax Code. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance has been assigned the responsibility of enhancing local tax collection efficiency, curbing the informal economy, and advancing the digitalization of customs and tax systems, specifically by integrating artificial intelligence technologies. These measures are part of a broader government effort to modernize fiscal policy and improve revenue administration across the country.
