Kazhydromet has issued an official advisory regarding air quality for residents in Astana, Almaty, and Ust-Kamenogorsk for September 8. The agency anticipates unfavorable meteorological conditions in these cities, noting that specific weather patterns such as light winds, calm air, fog, and temperature inversions are likely to trap pollutants near the ground. In Astana, the forecast predicts dry, partly cloudy conditions with temperatures fluctuating between 12 and 30 degrees Celsius and southeasterly winds. Similarly, Almaty is expected to experience dry and partly cloudy weather, with northeasterly winds reaching speeds of up to 8 meters per second. These conditions are expected to hinder the dispersion of harmful particles in the atmosphere, prompting the warning for the local populations.
