Authorities in Kathmandu have apprehended ten Bangladeshi nationals following reports of unauthorized residency and questionable behavior within the Thamel district. Officers from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office conducted a targeted operation on May 5th, resulting in the detention of these individuals at several local lodging establishments, specifically Hotel Dhaka Express, Hotel De Veda, and Hotel Al Rahman. The group, ranging in age from 28 to 64, was found to be staying in the area without proper documentation. Following the initial police intervention, the detainees were transferred to the Department of Immigration in Kalikasthan. Officials are currently conducting a formal investigation to determine the nature of their activities and to initiate appropriate legal proceedings regarding their immigration status in Nepal.
