Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has issued a stern warning against any potential federal efforts to implement governor's rule or declare an emergency in the province. During a series of public addresses in Charsadda and Mardan as part of a PTI-led march, Afridi stated that any move to challenge the provincial government's mandate would trigger a significant public backlash. He emphasized that the province remains committed to the political leadership of PTI founder Imran Khan, asserting that regional policies will continue to align with his directives. While maintaining that his administration is not focused on retaining power for its own sake, Afridi declared that they are prepared to protect their constitutional authority and the will of the voters. He noted that the local population is already mobilized and ready to defend the provincial government's mandate if necessary.
