During an emergency session of the House of Representatives, Nepali Congress lawmaker Gangalakshmi Awal highlighted critical deficiencies in the resources available to rescue teams operating in flood-stricken Rasuwa. Citing information provided by rescue worker Arun Sainju, who has been active in the region since late August, Awal reported that personnel are struggling without basic necessities. Specifically, the teams reportedly lack functional torches, reliable ropes, and devices required to monitor oxygen levels. Awal emphasized that these shortages are hindering the effectiveness of security personnel and volunteers working to assist flood victims. Consequently, she has formally requested that the government take immediate action to supply the necessary equipment to ensure the safety and efficiency of the ongoing rescue efforts in the affected areas.
