An investigation into the Somomona Dokandar Samabay Samiti Limited has revealed that several individuals listed on its management committee are no longer involved in trade. Mofiz Uddin Ahmed, a former footpath vendor in Mirpur-1, confirmed he has been inactive for 15 years yet remains on the committee without his active participation. The 70-year-old stated that the organization's leadership added his name to the committee without his current involvement. The cooperative society recently gained public attention following the destruction and looting of the Radda Mother and Child Health Centre in Mirpur on September 24. These findings raise questions regarding the composition and legitimacy of the group's leadership structure in the wake of the reported criminal activities at the health facility.
