The Nepalese Ministry of Finance has finalized Due Diligence Audit (DDA) reports for five out of seven long-shuttered state-owned enterprises. According to official correspondence with the Federal Parliament Secretariat, assessments for the remaining two entities, specifically Butwal Dhago Karkhana and Nepal Orind Magnesite Pvt. Ltd., are currently in progress. These audits are part of a broader government initiative to revive seven major industrial facilities through public-private partnership models. Once the remaining documentation is submitted, authorities intend to evaluate the findings to determine appropriate investment management strategies and operational frameworks for these dormant assets. This effort aligns with commitments previously outlined in the national budget speech regarding the revitalization of state-owned industrial infrastructure.
