The Philippine National Police (PNP) has confirmed that a standard patient room at the PNP General Hospital is prepared to accommodate former speaker Martin Romualdez. This follows a pending motion before the Sandiganbayan requesting his continued hospital detention. PNP spokesperson Col. Allen Rae Co stated that the health service has finalized all necessary arrangements for the potential transfer. Furthermore, PNP Chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. emphasized that the facility and its medical staff are fully equipped to provide required care while maintaining legal custody. To ensure continuity of treatment, PNP medical professionals are currently coordinating with Romualdez’s personal doctors at the Cardinal Santos Medical Center regarding his health status and requirements.
