South Korean steel manufacturer Posco has announced a capital injection of 480 billion won, equivalent to approximately 357 million dollars, aimed at increasing its output of high-quality automotive galvanized steel. This strategic investment is intended to strengthen the company's position within the evolving mobility sector. As part of this initiative, the firm has officially commenced construction on its eighth continuous galvanizing line at the Gwangyang Steelworks facility located in South Jeolla Province. Once operational, this new production line is expected to achieve an annual manufacturing capacity of 450,000 metric tons. The facility will be specifically dedicated to the production of high-grade hot-dip galvanized steel products, supporting the company's long-term goal of maintaining a competitive advantage in the global automotive supply chain.
