Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has declared that the party’s scheduled demonstration for September 27 will proceed as planned. During a media briefing near Adiala Road, Gohar emphasized that the party feels compelled to mobilize due to a perceived lack of judicial and parliamentary support for their concerns. He expressed significant frustration regarding the restricted access to PTI founder Imran Khan, suggesting that the current political tension could have been mitigated if regular communication had been permitted. Furthermore, Gohar commented on national security matters, stating that the National Action Plan should be enforced and characterizing recent appointments within the National Counter Terrorism Authority as military-related internal affairs. He described the conditions surrounding Imran Khan’s detention as historically unique, asserting that the party is left with no alternative but to voice its grievances through public protests.
