Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed the decree, which incorporates these anti-drone systems into the existing list of authorized defensive gear for postal staff, who were previously permitted to carry 9mm pistols and stun guns. This policy shift occurs amidst a significant rise in Ukrainian drone strikes targeting critical Russian infrastructure, including logistics hubs and energy facilities. Recent data indicates a substantial increase in the commercial acquisition of anti-drone technology across the country. Furthermore, President Vladimir Putin recently issued an order allowing the state to seize control of vital infrastructure sites if they are considered inadequately protected against potential security threats, although the government denies this constitutes nationalization.
