The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) in Qatar has scheduled its 2026 Patient Safety Campaign to run from September 17 to 23. This initiative aligns with both Qatar Patient Safety Week and the international observance of World Patient Safety Day. Centered on the theme of safe care for noncommunicable diseases, the program promotes the global message of ensuring secure treatment throughout a patient's life. The campaign focuses on individuals managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, cancer, hypertension, and respiratory ailments, which necessitate sustained medical oversight. Dr. Amal Abdullah al-Ali, the PHCC's executive director for quality and innovation, stated that the organization considers patient safety a fundamental strategic objective. The effort aims to enhance the quality and reliability of healthcare services provided to those requiring long-term management for various chronic health issues.
