Authorities have documented over 40 reports of predator sightings since the current season began. In the village of Sharavka, located near Ridder, residents report that bears are frequently seen during both daylight and evening hours. This ongoing issue has persisted for two consecutive years, though the intensity of the encounters has escalated this summer. Many villagers now express fear regarding their personal safety, particularly after sunset. One local resident, Natalya Kopylova, described a direct and frightening encounter with a bear while tending to livestock in nearby fields, highlighting the persistent danger faced by those working in the surrounding meadows. The situation remains a source of anxiety for the community as they navigate daily life amidst the increased presence of these wild animals.
