The Sanfe-Martadi road in Bajura has resumed operations after being obstructed for three days due to multiple landslides. Triggered by persistent rainfall starting last Saturday, the debris blocked several sections of the route within Badimalika Municipality, specifically in Wards 6, 8, and 9. Key areas affected by the slides included Karagar Mod, Selagad, Suwakandh, Rapka, and Birekhola. Chief District Officer Dorendra Niraula confirmed that the road became passable again today after the Department of Roads utilized two JCB excavators to clear the obstructions. Although the cleanup process faced delays due to ongoing weather conditions, the route is now open for both short- and long-distance vehicular traffic connecting to the district headquarters.
