Data released by the General Authority for Statistics indicates that Saudi Arabia's Industrial Production Index grew by 10.4 percent in July 2026 compared to the previous month. This upward trend was largely supported by a 19 percent surge in mining and quarrying operations. Additionally, the oil sector experienced a significant monthly expansion of 16.3 percent, while manufacturing output saw a modest rise of 1.3 percent, bolstered by increased production of refined petroleum and coke. Other sectors, including utilities and waste management, also reported positive growth during this period. Despite these monthly gains, the overall index reflected an 8.1 percent decrease when compared to the figures from July 2025. While oil-related activities performed strongly, non-oil sectors saw a slight contraction of 0.2 percent on a monthly basis.
