A 53-year-old woman from Semey has been sentenced to five days of administrative detention after a TikTok broadcast caught the attention of local authorities. During the livestream, which attracted approximately 12,000 viewers, the individual was observed consuming alcohol, using offensive language, and exhibiting disrespectful behavior toward others. Law enforcement officials identified the woman through routine social media monitoring and subsequently brought her before a court, which convicted her of petty hooliganism. The Interior Ministry utilized this incident to issue a public reminder that digital platforms are considered public spaces. Consequently, individuals may face legal consequences for violating public order or using profanity while broadcasting online. The authorities emphasized that online conduct is subject to the same legal standards as offline behavior.
