A Singaporean man has successfully obtained a personal protection order against his spouse following a ruling by a family court magistrate. The legal action was initiated after the wife repeatedly sent the man offensive messages and fabricated AI-generated imagery depicting him in sexual acts with his sister. Magistrate Soh Kian Peng concluded that these actions constituted psychological and emotional abuse. The conflict reportedly escalated after the husband provided financial support for his father’s medical needs, which included transferring funds to his sister. The court noted that the wife’s behavior was motivated by ongoing tensions with her sister-in-law and characterized her communications as extremely vile. This case highlights the growing concern over the misuse of artificial intelligence to harass family members and cause significant psychological distress within domestic relationships.
