By utilizing its robust professional services sector, the city could play a pivotal role in fostering the development of reliable and ethical AI systems. Ellen Lau Sin-tung, representing the training firm Preface AI, pointed out a notable disconnect between management and employees regarding digital integration. She observed that while executives are eager to adopt new technologies, there remains a substantial need for comprehensive training to bridge the knowledge gap among staff. Proponents argue that Hong Kong’s unique position allows it to standardize AI education and support regional digital transformation efforts, ultimately enhancing trust in emerging technologies across various industries.
