Following a fifteen-year period without salary adjustments, Singaporean political officeholders are set to receive pay increases based on findings from an independent review committee. The entry-level ministerial salary, designated as grade MR4, will rise from S$1.1 million to S$1.8 million. Prime Minister Lawrence Wong stated that these adjustments are necessary to ensure the government continues to attract and retain high-quality leadership talent.
