A Singaporean mother named Teresa experienced an unexpected encounter while traveling on the MRT with her young daughter, Noemi. After boarding the train at HarbourFront, the child fell asleep. When an older man entered the carriage at Outram station, he initially spoke loudly but became quiet upon noticing the sleeping girl. He then began sketching her on a notepad. After ten minutes, he presented the mother with a detailed portrait of her child. Teresa later learned that the man was Ng Peng Sing, a well-known local artist recognized for his work on Singapore's historical murals. The mother, who initially felt cautious about the stranger's actions, expressed relief and appreciation for the artistic gesture.
