The South Korean government has initiated a collaborative project to assist Mongolia in adopting a road-name address system based on the South Korean model. Supported by an 11 billion won, or approximately $8.2 million, investment, the initiative is funded through official development assistance provided by the Korea International Cooperation Agency. This endeavor represents the inaugural international deployment of South Korea's domestic addressing infrastructure. According to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the project has officially moved into its implementation stage. The program includes the installation of Korean-style street signage and building identification markers across Mongolia, with the project slated to continue operations through 2029.
