Three 16-year-old male students have been taken into custody in Yong Peng, Johor, in connection with the death of a female classmate. The victim, 16-year-old Irene Sofiya Mohd Khairool Faisal, was discovered unresponsive and bleeding inside a school hall on October 3. Local authorities confirmed that the teenager suffered multiple injuries to her head and torso and was declared deceased at the location. The discovery was made by the victim's grandmother, who had gone to the school premises after the girl failed to return home following the conclusion of an afternoon class. The victim had been residing with her grandmother since the passing of her mother. Johor police officials are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
