Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has expressed support for the government’s Budget 2027, which allocates RM15 billion toward enhancing the National Grid. This funding is a key component of the utility provider's broader RM43 billion capital expenditure plan scheduled between 2025 and 2027, aimed at modernizing infrastructure to accommodate rising energy needs. TNB president and CEO Datuk Seri Shamsul Ahmad stated that the company remains committed to collaborating with authorities to foster economic development and long-term energy sustainability. Furthermore, the organization endorsed the government's decision to expand electricity subsidy protections, which now cover households with monthly consumption levels reaching up to 800 kilowatt-hours. These measures are intended to bolster national energy security while providing financial relief to domestic users.
