Authorities in the United Arab Emirates have launched legal action against a social media user who posted derogatory content targeting a child with disabilities. The National Media Authority stated that the video featured inappropriate remarks that contradict national moral standards. In response, the agency collaborated with the relevant digital platform to remove the material and identify the publisher for prosecution. The authority reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the rights and dignity of children and individuals with disabilities. Simultaneously, the child’s father has requested that Saudi Arabian officials investigate the matter, citing the kingdom's Child Protection Law. He expressed strong condemnation regarding the harassment and mockery his son endured, seeking formal justice through the appropriate legal channels in both nations.
