Representatives from Uzbekistan and Belarus recently met to explore ways to deepen their strategic partnership by utilizing interparliamentary dialogue. The discussions focused on how legislative bodies can better support high-level agreements and facilitate stronger economic and investment relations. Key objectives include reaching a bilateral trade target of $2 billion, which officials aim to achieve by fostering industrial cooperation and direct business-to-business engagement. The dialogue highlighted specific sectors for potential growth, including pharmaceuticals, mechanical engineering, agriculture, and electrical engineering. To ensure progress, both nations committed to increasing interactions between their respective parliamentary committees and cooperation groups. The Interparliamentary Commission will continue to serve as a primary mechanism for coordinating these efforts and developing practical projects that strengthen the ongoing collaboration between the two countries.
