Kazakhstan’s major cities are hosting a diverse range of cultural and athletic activities this mid-October weekend. In Astana, the National Museum of Kazakhstan is presenting an exhibition titled Between Mask and Reality, which showcases the works of Belgian modern art pioneer James Ensor. Running from October 16 through January 13, the display features the artist's signature exploration of human nature and social facades through his iconic depictions of masks and carnival imagery. Beyond this art exhibition, the national calendar includes various live ballet performances and tennis matches taking place in both Astana and Almaty. These events offer residents and visitors an opportunity to engage with international artistic contributions and local sporting competitions throughout the coming days.
