While a diplomatic visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping to India might help alleviate current political friction between the two nations, it is unlikely to provide immediate relief for the corporate sector. Companies operating in both countries continue to navigate significant operational obstacles. These persistent difficulties include regulatory barriers that have effectively frozen various investment projects, prolonged processing times for business visas, and stringent limitations on the import of essential industrial machinery. Consequently, despite potential high-level diplomatic engagement, the underlying structural and administrative impediments to cross-border commerce remain largely unaddressed, leaving the business environment in a state of continued uncertainty.
