A 24-year-old woman named Jumratun Nessa Barsha died in Dhaka's Monipuripara area on Tuesday night. Shortly before her death, she contacted her father via video call to report physical abuse by her husband, Nabid Hossain. The communication was abruptly severed, prompting her family to visit her home, where they discovered her unresponsive. Barsha was subsequently transported to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital, where medical staff confirmed her passing. Her father, Sheikh Monowar Hossain, has initiated a murder investigation at the Tejgaon police station. The couple had been married for approximately one year following a courtship. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
