On Monday, October 19, law enforcement officials in Bangkok conducted a raid on a luxury residence located in the Bang Khen district. Acting on reports from local residents regarding a potent odor, immigration police and health department representatives executed a court-authorized search warrant. Inside the three-story property, authorities discovered five foreign nationals—one from Vietnam and four from Myanmar—engaged in the processing and packaging of cannabis for local distribution. The operation resulted in the confiscation of over five tonnes of cannabis flowers stored in numerous black bags. Investigators also noted that the premises were equipped with a specialized ventilation system intended to mask the scent of the product. The suspects are currently in custody as the Immigration Bureau continues its investigation into the illegal distribution network.
