Bangkok authorities have apprehended a 31-year-old Turkish citizen, Emres Badas, and his 40-year-old Thai accomplice, Chanoknan, following an arson attack at the San Tech Centre in Bang Khae. Investigators allege that Chanoknan, a former sales manager, paid Badas 10,000 baht to set fire to the office to destroy financial records. The company had been conducting an internal audit into suspected embezzlement, which revealed potential losses exceeding 10 million baht over a decade. The blaze, which occurred on September 25, caused extensive damage to 90% of the building. Forensic evidence, including the presence of petrol and the specific targeting of filing cabinets containing incriminating documents, confirmed the fire was deliberate. Both suspects were located and taken into custody following a review of security camera footage and vehicle tracking.
