The 2027 ODI Cricket World Cup schedule and group allocations were officially unveiled in Cape Town. Bangladesh has been assigned to Group B, alongside co-hosts South Africa, England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, and a qualifier participant. The tournament commences on October 2, 2027, with Bangladesh scheduled to play their inaugural match against England on October 8 in Windhoek, Namibia. The competition structure features two groups of six teams, with the top three from each advancing to the Super Seven phase. An additional spot in the Super Seven will be awarded to the higher-performing fourth-place team from the two groups. Following a league-style Super Seven round, the four highest-ranked teams will progress to the semi-finals, culminating in the final match.
