The Bombay High Court has expressed strong disapproval of the Palghar police's handling of an investigation into an attack on a private medical facility. Justices AS Gadkari and Kamal Khata described the police's investigative efforts as casual and inadequate. The incident occurred between September 5 and 6 at Relief Hospital, where supporters of the Shiv Sena faction led by Eknath Shinde allegedly damaged property and attacked staff members. These individuals had reportedly entered the hospital to confront medical personnel over billing concerns while visiting patients injured during Dahi Handi festivities. The court's remarks highlight significant concerns regarding the lack of progress in the criminal probe following the reported threats and physical assaults against hospital employees.
