The national football teams of Brazil and India are scheduled to compete in an international friendly match this Saturday at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata. This event marks the inaugural senior men's meeting between the two nations. The match is set to begin at 8:00pm Bangladesh time, or 7:30pm in India. Brazil, currently fifth in the FIFA rankings and managed by Carlo Ancelotti, will feature players such as Vinicius Junior, Endrick, and Marquinhos, though Raphinha is sidelined due to injury. India, coached by Khalid Jamil and ranked 138th, will host the five-time world champions in a city known for its significant Brazilian fan base. Captain Marquinhos noted that the enthusiastic local support serves as extra inspiration for the visiting squad.
