Authorities in Can Tho City recently organized a formal event to evaluate regional sports activities and celebrate the accomplishments of local competitors. The ceremony specifically highlighted the achievements of the city's sepak takraw athletes, who delivered exceptional performances during the 20th Asian Games held in 2026. These athletes were instrumental in securing a gold medal for the Vietnamese national team, a feat that drew praise from government officials and sports authorities. The event served as both a review of local athletic development programs and a platform to reward the participants for their contributions to Vietnam's success on the continental stage.
