Taiwan's flag carrier, China Airlines, has confirmed an upcoming adjustment to its international booking service charges. Effective September 22, the fee per ticket will rise from US$30 to US$33. The company stated that this decision reflects current market trends and standard practices within the aviation sector. These fees are utilized by major Taiwanese carriers to offset expenses associated with global distribution systems. This adjustment follows a series of similar hikes across the industry this year. Other local airlines, including EVA Air, Starlux Airlines, and Tigerair Taiwan, have also recently increased their respective booking costs to manage operational expenses. China Airlines had previously adjusted its own rates twice earlier in 2026, moving from US$25 to US$28 in March and subsequently to US$30 in July.
