NLEX Corporation has commenced repair work on segments of the North Luzon Expressway that sustained damage from persistent rainfall. Crews are operating around the clock to address these issues. The company clarified on Wednesday that the current efforts represent an initial, temporary phase. A more lasting solution will be implemented once weather conditions improve, as permanent repairs are not feasible during ongoing precipitation. Recent activities included fixes in Valenzuela City and nighttime work on the Central Luzon Spur Road. These interventions are part of an enhanced maintenance and safety initiative, which NLEX Corp. expanded prior to the current wet season. This program, which also involved waterway clearing operations earlier in the year in support of government flood control efforts, was scaled up in June to prepare for anticipated heavy rains.
