During the 25th Heads of State and Government Summit held in Mount Hampden, Zimbabwe, leaders from the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) emphasized the necessity of bolstering regional integration. The participants highlighted that increasing trade within the African continent is essential for fostering industrial development and sustainable economic expansion. A key transition occurred during the event, as Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa assumed the role of COMESA chairperson, succeeding Kenyan President William Ruto.
