Starting January 1, 2027, Saudi Arabia will introduce new pricing structures for electricity, water, and wastewater services. The Saudi Energy Company and the National Water Company confirmed these changes, which align with royal instructions aimed at providing financial assistance to workers across military, public, and private sectors. The updated electricity rates will be determined by specific consumption tiers, the type of sector, and circuit breaker capacity. For residential users, the initial consumption bracket up to 6,000 kWh will be priced at 21 halalas per kilowatt-hour, with higher usage levels increasing to 33 halalas. These adjustments follow established regulatory procedures for energy and water pricing in the Kingdom.
