A judicial intervention led to the liberation of DSP Headquarters Rehmatullah Khan, who was reportedly held against his will at the Bannu Police Lines for five days. The situation emerged after the officer's son filed a petition with the court, claiming his father was being detained unlawfully. In response to the legal challenge, an Additional Sessions Judge dispatched a bailiff to the facility to verify the allegations. Upon arrival, the court official discovered the DSP confined to a room while wearing plain clothing. The officer confirmed to the bailiff that his freedom of movement had been restricted for nearly a week. The court has received the official report detailing these findings regarding the internal police matter.
