A Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate has authorized a four-day police remand for two former military officers. The individuals are currently under investigation following allegations of involvement in anti-state activities, inciting violence, unauthorized financial transactions, and the dissemination of propaganda via social media platforms. The order was issued by Magistrate Didarul Alam on Monday after the Detective Branch of the police presented the suspects before the court. Inspector Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, representing the Cyber and Special Crime Division, requested the detention period to facilitate further inquiries into the charges. The legal proceedings follow formal accusations regarding the pair's alleged efforts to destabilize the state through various illicit channels.
